Bare head of Octavian r. / Curia Julia (Senate House). RIC 266.

Scholars have identified this structure as the Curia Julia. The building of the structure had been begun by Julius Caesar, just before his assassination in 44 B.C.,and Octavian had it completed by 29 B.C., when it was dedicated two weeks after the festivities surrounding Octavian's triple triumph.

Nicely defined features and lovely style. Almost invisible scratch in obverse field.
